Get Ready for the Next Tribesman Triathlon on June 14th, 2026!

After two unforgettable years back in action, the Tribesman Triathlon returns to Galway on Sunday, June 14th, 2026!

The 2025 event was a huge success, with over 400 athletes taking on the challenge through the heart of Galway. From the fast-flowing Corrib swim to the flat bike course and scenic run, the atmosphere was electric. 2026 is set to raise the bar even higher.

We’re proud to announce that the Tribesman Triathlon has once again been selected as part of the Triathlon Ireland National Series (Round 5) and will once again host the Intervarsity National Championships for 2026.

Tribesman Sprint Triathlon

Take on one of Ireland’s most iconic sprint-distance triathlons:

  • Swim: 750 m downstream in the River Corrib, one of Europe’s fastest rivers.

  • Bike: A flat, fast, out-and-back route along the Moycullen bypass.

  • Run: A scenic finish through the University of Galway campus and along the Corrib

Aquabike

The Aquabike (swim + bike) category runs alongside the sprint race. It’s ideal if you’re recovering from injury, want to skip the run, or are building toward a full triathlon. You’ll still enjoy the full race-day energy and finish under the same gantry.
 
We’re also continuing our Junior (16–18 years) Aquabike category for 2026 to support developing athletes.
